Back when I first started this blog a friend left a comment about giving some challenges to complete. I have finally found myself recently undertaking 1 of those challenges.
Construct a poem in the form of a Haiku (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haiku). Write one haiku each describing three or four of your friends. Concentrate on giving the impression or feeling of the person, rather than simply a visual description.
It may seem strange, but I have never really tried writing a Haiku. So in my next Post Some of my friends... I will submit some of the haiku that I wrote about the impression or feeling that my friends give.
What inspires one to write? For me it is an irresistible urge to assemble words together that results in the creation of imagery that I experience when I look at the world around me. I can not remember a time that I was not writing, especially poetry. To write a poem is to use the fewest words to create a glimpse into a new world or perspective. By Allison Brown
