Supple snow

The silken shawl of snow
Shimmers and burrows
Seeping into the curves
As light caresses you
Threads weep slowly
Then cascades into
Streams of glistening white

Emotions sit upon me
Gulp, gasp
Spinning, sinking
Inhaling each motion
Float with a tide
Rushing over my mind
Make me still
Numb, overwhelmed
Movement, raw
Falling into depths
Dark corners
Hidden thoughts
Building up
Breath, see
Turn away...

Close me eyes
Let the moment
Capture me

Hear the tune
Flow through
My skin

Upon the music
I move
I sway
I become alive

Taste the heat
Of our rhythm
Pulsing through

I exhale, pause
Then it begins

Feel everything

Let me lose myself in this dance
Let a song take me to a place
Where rhythm is my drug of choice

Easing me into a spiralling sensation of sound and song
Tapping out a groove that leaves me
