Mum xxx

Last day...
Laughter
Found easily.
Thankfulness
For a lovely cuppa.
Memories
Sharing tales.
Pain
Constant shadow.
Strength
Palpable.
Companionship
Being together.
Love
Freely given.
No guilt
A final plea.

Days since...
A piece
Missing.
Sadness
Lingering.
Tears
Waves falling.
Kinship
Connecting.
Identity
Acceptance.
Remembering
Overwhelming.
Mantra
No regrets.
Gifted with
A full life lived.

Days to come...
Lessons learnt
Laugh
Share
Love
Accept.
Live life
With no regrets!

Poppy rest in peace

Stand still
And breathe
It'll pass
This emptiness
And loss

Life's lived
Life ends

In this moment
Memories
Are hidden
Behind
Sadness

Stand still
Breathe deep
And say
Goodbye

When my tears dry
Memories of you
Will ease this pain
Rest in peace

Goodbye my love

The long goodbye

Lingers

Pieces crumble

In and out

Slowly taking

Memories

Identify

Stories

Merge

Hope

Fades

Love

Aches

Within the long goodbye

Remember

Memories

Identity

Stories

Hope

Love

Strength

Amongst ebbs and flows
A comforting light exists
Warming with its touch

Poppy...

If I could write your story
From then to now
What stories I could tell
A tall tale, legend, myth?

From one story, one view
A life derived from strength
That carries those
Who are part of you

Of character that supports
Teaches and believes
One life that is boundless
A greater story than I could conceive.

Red Tears

Red Tears (words)

I hear their memories,
Calling!
Wafting across fields.
Floating.
Singing their final lullaby -
Weeping:
A harmony of voices,
Haunting...

Whispers drift over fields,
Calling!
Threads of their memories.
Floating.
Visions always lingering -
Weeping:
Staining the fallen leaves,
Haunting...
