What inspires one to write? For me it is an irresistible urge to assemble words together that results in the creation of imagery that I experience when I look at the world around me. I can not remember a time that I was not writing, especially poetry. To write a poem is to use the fewest words to create a glimpse into a new world or perspective.

Pack the blues away
Blues of days to come Tease with promise Now packed away Encased behind grey Only sight seen Was a glimpse For a day
Sitting here waiting At the beginning Of another day The light is mellow The air is chilled Dwelling on promises Of days of blues
