What inspires one to write? For me it is an irresistible urge to assemble words together that results in the creation of imagery that I experience when I look at the world around me. I can not remember a time that I was not writing, especially poetry. To write a poem is to use the fewest words to create a glimpse into a new world or perspective. By Allison Brown

Weaving clouds - pictured
The poem "Weaving Clouds" has been altered slightly before being added to my photo. Nothing is static including my poetry or the clouds that drift across the sky :-)

Veins of fire
I think this poem requires a 'to be continued' label :-)

Pattern
I created images that would fit some of the poems I wrote about different friends. This ended up being a series that have become my screen saver at work. I have not felt the need to put up a different screen saver since. Over the next month I will post each one - though I have posted some of these before. This hopefully will help me focus on creating more.
I also do requests ;-)
