Sleep

Why fight sleep?

Battle what will always win?
Struggle to stay awake?

My mind races
Jumps from dream
To the plunging panic:
What will tomorrow bring
Today, did I say the right thing...

I draw the dreams back
And push aside
My fears,
Start wishing
That my dreams
Were somehow real

Why fight sleep -
So I can create
A bright-eyed dream

Hi Allison!
I noticed you are following my blog and wanted to stop by and say, "Thanks".
It's a busy time right now, but I'll be sure and stop by after Christmas. I've read a couple of things that I really like. Some of my poetry is very introspective, as yours is.

I'll see you soon,

Kat
