On a dark street

On a dark, dark street
Rushing by, by the window
So many cars, cars rushing by
Sitting at a table, a table just for me
Watching so closely,
So closely as the world goes by
By the time, time has moved on
My meal is gone,
Gone and empty the plate remains
Time to go, go the long way home

On a dark, dark street
I rush by, by the window
So many cars, cars rushing by
Sitting at a table, a table just for you
Watching so closely,
So closely as the world goes by
By the time, time has moved on
Your meal is gone,
Gone and empty the plate remains
Time to go, go the long way home

Ally, I really like this one. Perhaps it's because I'm sitting at work looking out the window and people and cars going by and really want to go home and relax. I think the tempo of the words matches the sentiments being expressed too. Good job.
